Training equipment for elite sport, military & first responders

Strong in the gym. Fast when it counts.

Reactive, balance and decision-making systems that train the nervous system behind speed, power and robustness. For performance departments, S&C programs, defence, police and emergency services.

Tested daily in our own performance clinic, Ikigai Shift. Supplying teams across Australia, New Zealand and the USA [product availability varies by region].

Sound familiar?

The problems performance staff and tactical trainers bring to us most.

“Our athletes test well on the force plate but look slow in the game.”

Head of performance · S&C

“Hamstring and knee injuries keep costing us selections.”

Medical · S&C

“Decisions fall apart late in the game, or late in the shift.”

Coaches · tactical trainers

“We need more robust necks for collision sport and helmet or load work.”

S&C · medical

“Our people move in gear over ground that never stays still.”

Defence · police · fire

“We’re fitting out a new performance centre or tactical gym.”

Procurement · facilities

Same nervous system. Two very different jobs.

Choose your world. The kit overlaps; the way you use it doesn't.

For heads of performance, S&C coaches, sports scientists and medical staff

Your force plate measures the output. We train the input.

The first 50–75 milliseconds of force development is driven by the nervous system. In a game, that force comes after the athlete has seen, decided and reacted. That's the part most programs never train.

Reactive power

Produce force after a cue, not just when ready. Train the gap between planned and reactive.

SMARTfit · Reax Run

Decision speed

Read, choose and move under fatigue: colour rules, sequences and choices on the wall.

SMARTfit

Unstable-load strength

Water-filled bars and discs shift every rep, so the body has to sense and stabilise under load.

Reax Lift · Reaxxer

Reactive balance

A belt or floor that tilts suddenly in any direction trains the reflexes that catch and drive the body.

Reax Run · Reax Board

Neck strength and control

Multi-direction neck training for collision and contact sport. A training tool, not a concussion treatment.

TopSpin360

Engine and breathing

Train the breathing muscles alongside conditioning work.

The research

Planned power isn't game power.

Bottom up, the senses and reflexes set the body up to move. Top down, the brain reads, decides and drives. Here's what the research says about both.

Early force is neural

Force development in the first 50–75 ms depends mainly on how fast motor units are recruited and fire.

Maffiuletti et al. 2016, Eur J Appl Physiol

Balance training sharpened early force

Four weeks of balance training improved early force development with no change in max strength (small study).

Gruber & Gollhofer 2004, Eur J Appl Physiol

Reacting raises knee load

Unplanned cuts produced up to about twice the knee varus/valgus and rotation moments of planned cuts.

Besier et al. 2001, Med Sci Sports Exerc

Slower brains before ACL injuries

Athletes who later had non-contact ACL injuries had slower reaction time and processing speed at baseline.

Swanik et al. 2007, Am J Sports Med

Thinking changes landing

Adding a cognitive task changed landing mechanics, with more knee abduction.

Almonroeder et al. 2018, JOSPT

Concussion, then injury

After a concussion, athletes had about twice the odds of a later musculoskeletal injury (OR 2.11).

McPherson et al. 2019, Am J Sports Med

Evidence, honestly: the mechanism is strong. Training studies are small and the injury links are associations, not proof of cause. Supplier results are kept separate and shared on request. No product prevents concussion.

Measure the gap

Planned vs reactive

Your athlete jumps on the force plate three ways: self-started, then on a random light, then on a light with a choice. The drop in force development between planned and reactive is the gap your program isn't training yet.

1. Planned: the athlete starts when ready

2. Reactive: a random SMARTfit light starts it

3. Reactive + decision: light plus a rule (direction or colour)

Ways to work with us

Buy the kit, train your staff, or let us test your squad first. Most partners combine two or three.

1 · Equipment

The kit, set up

Delivered and set up [installation: confirm], with local after-sales support. [Distribution terms by brand and region: confirm.]

2 · Training package

Our protocols, your staff

A tailored education package for your S&C, medical or training staff, priced separately.

3 · Program design & fit-out

Built around your squad

We plan the space, the equipment mix and the sessions, with a bespoke training package included.

4 · Squad testing

We test your squad first

Baseline force, reaction, balance and neck profiles through Ikigai Shift, with a team report (athlete consent). [Sydney location: confirm]

Questions performance teams ask

Will it work with our force plates and athlete management system?

The planned vs reactive protocol runs on VALD ForceDecks with SMARTfit lights. [Data export and integration per product: to confirm.]

Is it built for daily squad use?

[Durability, load ratings and servicing per product: to confirm.] The procurement pack lists them.

Do you supply New Zealand and the USA?

Yes, for selected products. [Availability by product and region: to confirm.]

Is training included?

Training is a separate, tailored package, and it’s included when we do your program design and fit-out.

Can we trial it first?

Bring a few athletes to Ikigai Shift, book a demo at your facility, or see it at ASCA. [Trial terms: to confirm.]

Do you work with professional clubs?

Yes. Partnerships stay confidential unless a club agrees to be named.

Does TopSpin360 prevent concussion?

No product can prevent concussion. TopSpin360 is a neck strength and control training tool.

See the gap for yourself.

Book a demo at your facility, bring a few athletes to Ikigai Shift, or catch us at ASCA.
